Police arrested three men in Perth after the customers at a fast food joint alerted the police of a possible armed robbery. The men however claim no offense and consider the charges baseless, as it was a prank played upon their work mates that turned ugly.
Wearing black vests and balaclavas and armed with replica pistols, the men pretended to hold up their fast food restaurant says the police. The customers were frightened as the drama unfolded and believing it to be an actual robbery alarmed the police about an armed robbery at the fast food joint.
The young men aged 19, 20 and 22 were charged for causing fear in a public place and possessing arms. The police refused to divulge the details of the fast food restaurant however.

The job of an event planner is varied and exciting, with a wide variety of events to organize from lavish weddings, to business conferences and even children's birthday parties. Those with a knack for organizing and who love working with people may have what it takes to be great event planners.

Many event planners start their own businesses, where they manage events on their own or organize small teams to do so. There are no specific qualifications needed to be an event planner, but most planners choose to focus on a specific area of expertise. Whether it is creating small and charming weddings or luxury business getaways, specialization seems to be a popular way to go for those starting their own event planning companies. It is possible to be a generalist as well, but focusing on a specific type of event makes it easier to promote your business.

Laura Schwartz, a former event planner for the Clinton White House, recently gave some networking tips to the Schaumburg Business Association in Chicago. She has planned over 1,000 events in her career, including many official state dinners. Clinton joke that everyone in the administration use to call her 'Laura Sarge' because of her knack for organizing and directing staff.

Schwartz was known for throwing together captivating events, and she spoke about some of the important deals which were brokered at her events. For example, she described how Steven Spielberg was seated next to music mogul David Geffen and producer Jeffrey Katzenberg at a state dinner, and thirteen days later they ended up founding DreamWorks as a result of their conversation that night. Schwartz profiled many such stories in her new book called "Eat, Drink and Succeed."
